Mo’BETA Bodega - BET Awards 2018

An obstacle for many red carpets are enticing the top talent to walk the full carpet. We address this hurdle for the 2018 BET Awards by introducing "Mo' BETA Bodega".  A unique addition aimed at elevating the overall experience for celebrities as they approached the finale of the Red Carpet. The installation provided an immersive and engaging environment where talent could indulge in shopping, dancing, laughter, and playful interactions, all within a custom Bodega in the theme of the 2018 awards. Inspired by the iconic Spike Lee  film "Mo' Better Blues," the concept transformed the familiar into an extravagant and memorable experience. The store products were cleverly named, playing off the network's show names and popular anecdotes from the culture.

The groundbreaking concept received over 50k YouTube views immediately after airing, highlighting the surge in popularity and viewer engagement. This success established the concept as an anticipated annual feature at the BET Awards, setting a new standard for captivating entertainment.
